Peter (Peng) Huang is a filmmaker based in Toronto, ON.
He started his career as a writer and development executive for Colony Pictures (now Collective Pictures), where he co-produced the Netflix feature CODE 8 (starring Robbie Amell, Stephen Amell, and Sung Kang).
After transitioning to directing, Peter’s short film 5 FILMS ABOUT TECHNOLOGY screened at Sundance, where it was acquired by Neon for a wide theatrical release with Nacho Vigalondo’s COLOSSAL. The hit short was then picked up by FX and adapted into NINE FILMS ABOUT TECHNOLOGY for season 4 of FX’s Cake. He has also directed for CBC/Netflix’s WORKIN' MOMS and CTV/Roku’s CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING.
Peter is also one of Canada’s top music video directors. His work with internationally recognized artists such as AVICII, EMINEM, MARTIN GARRIX, and JESSIE REYEZ has landed an array of wins and nominations at the Cannes Young Director Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Prism Prize, iHeartRadio Music Awards, and Juno Awards.
